About Me

I started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in February of 2008.  Since then I have devoted a great deal of time to learning/studying the sport and helping as an assistant coach at our academy in Plano, TX from 2008-2016 at North Dallas Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (NDBJJ).  I received my black belt in June 2015 from JD Shelley and assisted in teaching kids and adult classes during my time there.  BJJ has changed my life and helped make me a healthier person.  I have made some good friends and enjoy the challenge it regularly poses for me. This blog is dedicated to sharing some of the aspects I like most about Jiu-Jitsu, passing along some of the knowledge I gain, and product reviews on grappling gear such as gi's, rash guards, shorts, etc.

I currently hold the rank of black belt and lately have been very focused on building our kids programs and assisting in the adults advanced & beginner classes when needed.  I do offer private lessons for kids and adults and enjoy helping them reach their own goals no matter how big or small.
